I bought a similar gate (same style but has a built in gate) for my home. My daughter saw it and loved it. So much so, that she asked for the 22" as a Christmas present. She has a 15 month old child she did not want climbing on the stairs. I purchased the wider one so that in the event she want to use in another location, she has that flexibility. She has a Victorian style home and it looks beautiful in the foyer. It is a beautiful, very well made product.
Pros: Quality, Appearance, Durability

What is the mess made of?

How durable is the mesh? My dog jumps up and scratches and am concerned on how easily it can be torn
