While I am still waiting for my remodel to be unveiled, I have checked out the stools and they are absolutely stunning. Didn't want to pay this much for barstools,but in the end, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Beautiful. Not a bit disappointed.

What is the story on the Brass protection for the foot rest?
Reviews claim the stool came with "no brass" at all. I would purchase if they came with foot rest protection
Having read your question, I checked out the foot rest when I received my stools. You really have to get down and touch the foot rest to know that there is one. It has been finished the same color as the wood, but it is there. Understated, classic. You won't be disappointed.
