The quality of the branches and construction is very good. The lights however are not bright at all. Perhaps the cordless option is not a good one.

can these trees go in a pot?
I have two large pots that I would like to put these trees in but since they are made for a pathway I want to be sure they would be suitable for a pot instead.
Yes, if you buy either florist foam block or a styrofoam block to place in the pot. You then simply push the stake on the bottom of tree into foam. It worked perfectly for me!
