does this have a timer. How do you attach to mailbox..

To activate timing: turn on at your desired start time; it will remain on for 6 hrs. and turn off for 18 hrs. during the estimated 300 hr. life cycle; afterwards, replace the 2-"D" batteries and you're good again. The elastic strap and sturdy locking buckle work on larger mailboxes, even without a backpost.
