The timer on the lights on- off function works great, and the clipped band secures the swag very well. It is definitely up to the high quality you expect from Frontgate!

does this have a timer. How do you attach to mailbox..

Yes, the timer starts when you turn it on and then is on for 6 hours and off for 18, so just start it the first time at dark. The attachment has a elastic black band with a clip underneath that is very secure.
