4 ft opening
We have a 4ft opening from our kitchen into our living room that we would like to install a gate that would keep two VERY strong 25 lbs dogs out of the living room. Would this gate be able to fit into that opening?
I used this gate for 3 dogs who weigh about 20 pounds each. Only one of my dogs jumps against the gate and it has not tipped over. This gate expands - it has a panel that slides out and then you bolt it . My space was 60" but I think it would work for 40 - you would just not slide out the panel.
