Hose is 5/8" so I get excellent water pressure. The pump pedal retracts the hose easily and swiftly. I have had it for almost 2 months and everything has worked great so far. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the housing is flimsy as another reviewer said and I am not completely confident on the quality for lasting many seasons. Time will tell.
Pros: 5/8" diameter hose, pedal does excellent job retracting hose
Cons: flimsy housing

is there a wheel lock for this unit so it does not roll around while you are trying to use it?
As the staffer said, there is not a wheel lock. However, I pull out enough hose to use while I am standing near the unit, and then walk around where I need to water. So I have not had a problem with it rolling. I do this because I believe it could tip over fairly easy if given some good tugs from a distance. Although that has not happened to me. So far I am very happy with the purchase.
