I used my hose for the first time today, and I cannot ge it to retract. What do I do?

That is very bizarre. I have never had a problem! Were you careful when you extracted it or when you returned it? Perhaps you have a tangle? I always hold the hose when releasibg it back (while depressing the handle) so it doesn't whip in there and get tangled. I am always careful and baby my stuff and it always lasts a long time. Did you depress the handle of the hose to return it?

Here is what i would do - take the hose all the way out (if you can) and slowly control its return by depressing the handle and holding onto the hose - if that does not work return the hose and ask for a refund or a second hose, Good luck! This is a great company so you won't have any problem either way.

Hose reel retraction problem

My hose reel will only retact half of the hose and will not take the rest in. I have tried pulling it all the way out to the yellow as directed but it still will only reel in half of the length of the hose.

Install location and mounting plate

I just bought this hose and it's much larger and heavier than I thought it would be. I have two questions.
#1. Can the hose unit be mounted on the side of my house where my old hose was located. I have plastic siding. I'm not sure the thickness of the wood beyond the siding.
#2. The black metal mounting plate has a flat side and a beveled side. Which side goes against the house?
